A thought came to me in the days following this Father’s Day. I saw much praise for fathers on social media. It is definitely deserved. We should be thankful of those who have gone before us. They serve as important role models.

Then the awareness that there are those who are coming behind us who will/ could say the same thing about us. What are we doing to warrant the respect and praise of others? Are we people of character that others will recognize beauty in our lives?

And can we do it without patting ourselves on the back, spreading it through social media or with an intelligent branding campaign? Is it worth doing even if no one outside of your sphere of influence knows?
